Recurring invoices
Recurring invoice software that sends on schedule
Updated November 4, 2026
The short answerRecurring invoice software creates and sends the same invoice again every period, so you stop retyping it. In Invoicadence you add a customer, set the line items and how often they repeat, and each invoice is created and delivered on its due date. You can see what went out and when.
No card needed.
What recurring invoicing is
A recurring invoice is an invoice that repeats on a fixed schedule for the same customer and the same work. Monthly desk rent, a quarterly retainer, a yearly maintenance fee and weekly class fees are all recurring.
Without software you copy last month's invoice, change the number and dates, export a PDF and email it. That is easy to forget, and one missed month is a month of late cash. A recurring plan does those steps for you.
Who it suits
- Coworking spaces and studios billing members every month
- Freelancers and agencies on monthly retainers
- Landlords and property managers with fixed monthly charges
- Tutors, gyms and clubs with weekly or monthly fees
- Any business that sends the same invoice to the same people again and again
How scheduling works in Invoicadence
Each plan has a customer, a list of line items and an interval: weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly. Every day Invoicadence checks which plans are due, creates those invoices with the next invoice number and applies your payment terms.
A plan can send automatically on its due date, or only create the invoice so you can review it first. You can pause a plan and resume it later, and the next run date is always visible.
What the customer receives
Each invoice gets its own link that opens on any device, plus a PDF to download and keep, styled with your theme. When an invoice is marked paid, the customer gets a thank-you receipt instead of a payment request.
Recurring invoices are not card subscriptions
Invoicadence sends invoices; it does not charge your customer's card on your behalf and it takes no cut of what they pay you. Your customer pays you directly using the payment details printed on the invoice. That suits businesses whose customers pay by bank transfer, cheque or cash.
