Multi-currency invoicing
Invoice in the currency your client pays in
Updated November 5, 2026
The short answerMulti-currency invoicing software lets you issue each invoice in the currency your client uses. Invoicadence supports more than 150 currencies, formats each with its correct number of decimals, and sets your default currency from your country when you sign up. You can change the currency on any invoice.
No card needed.
Why the currency on the invoice matters
An invoice in the client's own currency is easier to approve and pay. Billing in a currency they do not use leaves them to convert it, and they may question the amount. If you work across borders, being able to switch currency per invoice saves back-and-forth.
Correct decimals for every currency
Currencies do not all use two decimal places. The Pakistani rupee uses 2, the Japanese yen uses 0 and the Kuwaiti dinar uses 3. Invoicadence follows the standard ISO minor units for each currency, so amounts are shown and totalled correctly.
How to change the currency
- Your default currency is set from the country you choose at sign-up
- Ask the assistant: “Make this invoice in euros”
- Set a recurring plan in the client's currency so every invoice uses it
- Different clients can use different currencies in the same account
Set the price in that currency
You decide the amount in the currency you bill in. Invoicadence formats and totals it, and works out tax and discounts, but you remain in charge of the price. Check which tax and invoicing rules apply to cross-border sales where you and your client are based.
